As I write this missive, the sun is shining and it is a beautiful summer day here in Chicago! I am also seeing more people returning to work in the Loop with each passing week. Hopefully these signs mean that we have turned the corner with respect to the pandemic and have begun a return to some semblance of normalcy.
While we are happy for the positive momentum, out of an abundance of caution the Board of Directors has taken the decision to once again cancel this year’s edition of the National Day celebration at The Mid-America Club. It was the general belief of the Board that it was best to wait a few more months before we host a large, indoor gathering to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
