A Message From The President
To Our Members and Friends,
As I write this missive, the sun is shining and it is a beautiful summer day here in Chicago! I am also seeing more people returning to work in the Loop with each passing week. Hopefully these signs mean that we have turned the corner with respect to the pandemic and have begun a return to some semblance of normalcy.
At this time, we are planning to hold our annual Christmas Party on Thursday, December 2 nd, at The Peninsula Hotel and preparations have already begun. Please be sure to reserve the date on your calendars!
Finally, I am pleased to present to you our Summer Newsletter for 2021 and I would like to extend my gratitude and thanks to Rollomatic Inc. for being the newsletter’s prime sponsor!
All the best,

Reshoring is happening. How to benefit from the trend!
Harry Moser founded the Reshoring Initiative® to bring five million manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. after working for high end machine tool supplier GF AgieCharmilles, starting as President in 1985 and retiring 2010 as Chairman Emeritus. Largely due to the success of the Reshoring Initiative, Harry was inducted into the Industry Week Manufacturing Hall of Fame 2010 and was named Quality Magazine’s 2012 Quality Professional of the year and FAB Shop Magazine’s Manufacturing Person of the year.
Thursday, September 30, 2021

Webinar Agenda:
· Welcome remarks by SABC President Tom Soseman.
· Presentation by Harry Moser, Founder, and President of the Reshoring Initiative.

•How to identify the products most profitably reshored.
• How to quantify the costs and risks of offshoring.
• How to convince your company to produce or source more in the U.S.

HEULE Celebrates 60 Years
HEULE Precision Tools celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. HEULE opened its doors in 1961 when Heinrich Heule left his secure job with a large company to start his own business. After years of hard work Heinrich had a breakthrough in 1978 when he received a major order where the inside of automotive u-joints in large batch sizes had to be chamfered quickly and cost-effectively. Since there was no tool on the market that could do the job, Mr. Heule developed the tool himself. This tool would prove to be the steppingstone to an incredibly successful future for this company. Heinrich Heule continued to develop specialized tools while remaining focused on deburring.
For many years, HEULE has been a synonym for deburring solutions and innovative problem solving. Today, HEULE is a leader in deburring all around the globe with subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, China, and South Korea and a worldwide network of sales partners ensures customer satisfaction. HEULE Precision Tools is the definition of quality tools and will continue to lead the market with innovation and dependability.
About HEULE Tool Corporation
Based in Loveland, Ohio, HEULE Tool Corporation serves manufacturing leaders throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico by providing Swiss-made precision tools designed for efficient front and back deburring, chamfering, countersinking, counterboring, and spotfacing. HEULE is dedicated to helping high-volume manufacturers across all industries to reduce cycle times, cut production costs, and produce higher quality parts off the machine by utilizing automated tools.

PERIPHERAL VISION
For machine tool peripherals, it’s LNS, then all the rest.
Peripherals, by definition, are an outer boundary. But at LNS, that boundary is where we put our focus. Because here’s the secret—with LNS peripherals on their side, our customers are able to turn their attention to what they do best: making chips and making money. That’s why we do what we do.
Five product categories and industry-best expertise means no company on earth can match the passion and vision we have for machine tool peripherals.
We design, build, and stand behind every high-pressure coolant system, bar feeder, chip conveyor, steady rest system and mist collector we sell – we know every model inside and out, we stock replacement parts, and local support is just a phone call away
LNS offers 17 different bar feeders for fixed or sliding headstock machines that accommodate bar diameters from 0.8 mm to 120 mm, many with automatic or no-tool-required quick changeovers
LNS ChipBLASTER high pressure coolant systems provide precise high-pressure force to allow cutting tools to operate at higher speeds and reduce tool wear
eConnect Ethernet communications system that enables data exchange between CNC machine controls and peripherals to reduce material waste and speed production
LNS Turbo chip conveyors handle all chip and material types – models include magnetic and self-cleaning models that filter out 500, 250 or even 50-micron particles
All models of LNS Fox mist collectors exceed OSHA and NIOSH requirements, eliminating oil/coolant mist, smoke and other fine aerosols and particulates
Steady-rest based workholding systems are custom designed and built to address each specific machining application
