Note from the New President
Dear Members, I would like to thank my fellow members on the SABC Board of Directors for entrusting me with the Presidency of our organization.  I would also like to thank David Kouidri for his long and dedicated service to not only the SABC but to the Swiss-American community at large. It will not be easy to fill David’s shoes but I will make every effort to build upon the firm foundation David has passed on to me.  Thankfully, I will be able to draw upon David’s experience and myriad of contacts not only in Chicago but also in New York, Washington DC and Switzerland to further enhance the development of the SABC.
Looking ahead, I call upon all of you to reach out to me and my fellow board members to provide your thoughts or ideas to improve your engagement and experience with the SABC.  We are here to serve you and we sincerely hope that the SABC can be a valuable resource for you now and in the future!

Sculpture in Bronze by Jean-Jacques Porret
We are delighted to show some of the recent strikingly beautiful sculptures made by artist and SABC Member Jean-Jacques Porret made in 2016. Mr. Porret’s work is figurative but it is not about the figure. He considers himself as an expressionist, as he is more interested in communicating an abstract feeling or idea than an actual image. He uses recognizable forms to evoke emotion and stimulate sensations. Please find more information about Jean-Jacques Porret and his extraordinary work at
