The HEULE company was formed in 1961 by Heinrich Heule in Switzerland. Today, HEULE remains a family-owned business. Heinrich developed an application for which there was no existing tool - to chamfer the insides of a fork component at low cost, within a short time, and in a large production run. Our company mission was established - to design cost-effective solutions for automating processes in high-volume manufacturing.
HEULE continues to run on a single-minded passion for designing solutions for complex applications. Through constant development of new solutions for customer applications in various industries around the globe, we have created a series of innovative precision tools for front and back deburring, chamfering, spotfacing, and countersinking.
At Heule Tool Corporation in North America, most of our products are sold as standard stocked items, but our technical engineers can provide custom solutions for specific applications.
A company built on innovation, Heule has recently developed the BSF-Air tool, a variation of the BSF. The BSF-Air is a back-spotfacing tool option for machine tools that do not offer through-tool coolant delivery or for parts that cannot be machined using coolant due to cleanliness reasons. This air-actuated tool provides many of the same advantages of the coolant-through tool, with the added advantage of faster tool activation. Because of its quicker tool functionality, especially high production machine shops, are benefitting from the air-actuated tool.
A higher quality end product starts with more reliable parts. HEULE tools are made with the reliability and quality you need to machine parts with speed and precision, so you can build better, stronger products for the global marketplace.

"The Switzerland-US trade lane is our specialty and part of maintaining our advantage is the strong relationships we have with the home office in Basel. While we hold a significant advantage with our resources in Switzerland and 9 locations strategically positioned in the United States, our real advantage lies in the commitment of each of our team members in Switzerland and throughout the United States," said Martin Kaegi, Chicago Branch Manager.

PERIPHERAL VISION
For machine tool peripherals, it’s LNS, then all the rest.
Peripherals, by definition, are an outer boundary. But at LNS, that boundary is where we put our focus. Because here’s the secret—with LNS peripherals on their side, our customers are able to turn their attention to what they do best: making chips and making money. That’s why we do what we do.
Five product categories and industry-best expertise means no company on earth can match the passion and vision we have for machine tool peripherals.
We design, build, and stand behind every high-pressure coolant system, bar feeder, chip conveyor, steady rest system and mist collector we sell – we know every model inside and out, we stock replacement parts, and local support is just a phone call away
LNS offers 14 different bar feeders for fixed or sliding headstock machines that accommodate bar diameters from 0.8 mm to 120 mm, many with automatic or no-tool-required quick changeovers
LNS ChipBLASTER high pressure coolant systems provide precise high-pressure force to allow cutting tools to operate at higher speeds and reduce tool wear
eConnect Ethernet communications system that enables data exchange between CNC machine controls and peripherals to reduce material waste and speed production
LNS Turbo chip conveyors handle all chip and material types – models include magnetic and self-cleaning models that filter out 500, 250 or even 50-micron particles
All models of LNS Fox mist collectors exceed OSHA and NIOSH requirements, eliminating oil/coolant mist, smoke and other fine aerosols and particulates
Steady-rest based workholding systems are custom designed and built to address each specific machining application

New year also means new laws and regulations for your tax returns. 2023 is no different in this regard, therefore we would like to highlight some of the changes both for 2022 tax provision purposes and 2023 estimates:
• Sec. 174 R&D expense capitalization
Likely the biggest change affecting you starting in 2022 is Sec. 174 Research & Development expenses. In 2022, it was expected that legislation would be passed to reverse the required capitalization of these expenses. However, this is no longer a likely outcome. Therefore, it is necessary that you track your incurred Research & Development expenses, both for purposes of computing the tax provision and return. This might apply to you even if you do not claim Research & Development credits.
• Interest deductions
For 163(j) computations of interest deductions for tax years beginning after 12/31/21, depreciation, depletion, and amortization deductions are no longer added back to arrive at adjusted taxable income (ATI). This could limit your interest deductions starting in 2022.
• Meal and Entertainment expenses
While meals purchased from restaurants were 100% deductible in 2021 and 2022 under the CARES Act legislation, in 2023 we go back to 50% deductibility for most meals purchased.
• Bonus depreciation
Bonus depreciation starts to phase out in 2023. For 2022, bonus depreciation is still at 100%, but starting 1/1/23, only 80% bonus depreciation is available on new assets placed in service. In addition, the maximum section 179 expense available for 2022 is $1,080,000 but phases out after that amount.
As usual, new tax regulations can be complex. Rödl & Partner USA is happy to guide you through these changes. We have experience with the new tax regulations and are happy to share our knowledge.
